DACSA GROUP starts a new project for the production of bioproducts

Continuing our innovation pipeline in the Dacsa Group, we have started a new research project for the production of bioproducts from food waste.

The project is entitled: PRODUCCION DE BIOPRODUCTOS A TRAVÉS DE RESIDUOS ALIMENTARIOS (Bioproducts production from food waste) and is included in the call RETOS-COLABORACIÓN 2015 (RTC-2015-3825-5)

The main objective of the project is the design and scaling to a process for transforming by-products of the food industry in biodegradable plastics. Bioplastics obtained will be analyzed, formulated and also additives will be incorporated to develop mixtures and prototypes for the packaging sector and other applications such as foils for coatings.

This project has been co-funded by the Economy and Competitiveness in the State Plan of Scientific and Technical Research and Innovation 2013-2016 Ministry and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
