The Dacsa Chair closes its 10th edition and awards prizes to the best entrepreneurial projects

The 10th edition of the Chair of the University of Valencia “Excellence and Development in Entrepreneurship: from Student to Entrepreneur”, sponsored by Dacsa Group, closed its 10th edition on 11th May.

A Chair that seeks to support and encourage entrepreneurial activity within the University of Valencia and rewards the most viable projects presented by students.  In addition, for the first time, this year the Chair also wanted to recognise the work of companies and organisations.

The event, held in Valencia University’s assembly room, was attended by Ricardo Císcar, Executive Director and Director of the rice area of Dacsa Group.

Also present were the Vice-Rector for Innovation and Transfer of the University of Valencia, Rosa María Donat, Amparo Ruiz Genovés, Partner of EY, Carlos Lassala and Domingo Ribeiro, directors of the Chair.

 

The promoters of the 4 finalist projects, of the 10th Edition of the awards, for the best viability plans granted by the Dacsa Chair were able to present them. Following their defence, the order of the winners was revealed:

  1. MyCloset
  2. Ecohand
  3. Solanel
  4. Un albergue diferente

Among the award-winning companies were:

  1. FEVECTA, Valencian Federation of worker cooperative enterprises, for its work on issues of adaptation to digital transformation.
  2. ANECOOP, for its work on Sustainable Development Goals.
  3. CAJAMAR, for its involvement in entrepreneurship and start-ups.
  4. FECOVI, Federation of Housing and Rehabilitation Cooperatives of the Valencian Community, for its work on environmental protection issues.

Generating synergies between talent and university research, and the real needs of the business environment, was the raison d’être of this Chair 10 years ago and a reflection of Dacsa Group’s involvement in the development of our immediate environment and support for young entrepreneurial talent.
