Dacsa Group reaffirms its commitment to the environment by reforesting the Sierra de la Culebra in Zamora

On 13 April, the team at Molendum Ingredients, a subsidiary of Dacsa Group, carried out an environmental restoration action. This involved the reforesting, with 200 native trees, of the natural area of the Sierra de Culebra, in Zamora.

Specifically, the reforestation was carried out in the municipality of Tábara, which suffered two fires in 2022 in which a total of 60,000 hectares of mountain range were burnt.

This action was organised in collaboration with Dacsa Group’s Sustainability and CSR Department, and within the framework of the Quercus Project as part of the Culture and Communication Plan 2024, and also served as a team-building activity.

The aim was to strengthen team cohesion while reaffirming our commitment to environmental sustainability.

This initiative is part of the group’s focus on integrating sustainable practices throughout its operations and fostering a work environment that values and promotes the well-being of its employees and along with respect for the environment.

The action reflects Dacsa Group’s commitment to ecological responsibility, as each tree planted helps reforest the area and improve environmental quality.

In addition, the activity also aligns with the Group’s global sustainability goals, which include reducing its carbon footprint and respecting biodiversity in the communities where it operates.

The event not only left a green footprint on the environment, but also allowed team members to share a meaningful experience outside of the office, strengthening their connection to the company and to each other.

Such initiatives highlight Dacsa Group’s approach to caring for its teams and the environment, demonstrating that business growth and sustainability can go hand in hand.

Dacsa Group would like to thank everyone involved for making this possible.
