The background to the new challenges of Industry 4.0. This is how the round table began, that last month celebrated the Expansión newspaper and Ibermática. The fourth industrial revolution has already arrived and not adapting to it could be a serious mistake.
Ignacio Juanes, Dacsa Group´s IT Manager participated in this exchange of views with members of other companies such as Grupo Siro, Quesos Entrepinares, Chamber of Commerce of Spain, Microdeco and the EOI. The day also involved the collaboration of the Deputy Director General of Digitalization of the Industry and Collaborative Environments of the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness.
Digitalization is a fact and a reality that today cannot be ignored. There is a change in the law of supply and demand that goes through this digitalization process, which is why it is so important that this digitalization is cross-cutting and affects all the participants in it. This was one of the conclusions reached during the day.
In this digital world where immediacy matters, it is important not to be left behind. That is why: ‘We have to go on pilot projects with awareness, focusing on those that can have quick results’, as stated by Ignacio Juanes.
The same thing happens with training and innovation within companies. These must be its fundamental basis and for this reason, it is essential to surround yourself with a highly talented team. The retention of talent as the basis on which to support the growth of the company was another of the topics debated during this interesting debate.
In 2018 Dacsa Group launched a strategic line of digital transformation, which covers all plants and departments. Its focused is not only on the automation of processes but also on the optimization of management, distribution and marketing of different products, as well as relations with employees, customers and suppliers.
This strategic line will be the engine of competitiveness, growth, innovation, leadership and employment. ‘In Dacsa Group we are aware that with digitalisation we are betting a lot and we have to be ambitious, because we are convinced that there are many opportunities that are going to come’ states Ignacio Juanes, IT Group Manager of Dacsa Group.
In this meeting about Industry 4.0, there was also discussion on the need to organize efficiently these new ways of industrial management, in order to anticipate the needs that the market will demonstrate in the coming years.
