Last month our sales team embarked on a long journey that took them to the Foodex Saudi fair in Saudi Arabia. This international fair has been held annually for five years and focuses on the export of food and drink to the country´s market.
This was our first time at this trade fair as exhibitors and we went to meet representatives from the local Saudi Arabian market and to make contact with local distributors. During this time we met with exhibitors from 36 countries in a 9,800m2 pavilion.
From our entire range of products there was a great deal of interest in our gluten-free retail products, as well as bread crumbs and our preparations for gluten-free bread and biscuits. The latter being made from rice and corn flour which originate from different factories within the Dacsa Group. These preparations are composed of native and pregelatinized flours and have been developed by Dacsa Group´s R & D department.
Our brand Arroz Dacsa, rice with a Denomination of Origin, was also very well received. We are the main producers of this rice in Spain and, with a certification of origin, this seal of quality certifies the origin and provenance of our rice, cultivated and collected in the environment of the Albufera Natural Park.
This fair was an authentic learning experience which, at the same time, saw a large influx of people. Saudi Arabia imports more than 25 billion dollars of food and beverage products annually and demand is rising due to an increasing population. The country´s development provides us with a great opportunity to showcase our entire range of gluten-free products to the market and ensure that the quality of our brand reaches the whole world.
