Dacsa Group collaborates with Fundación Seur and its initiative “Tapones para una nueva vida”.

DACSA GROUP .

“Tapones para una nueva vida” is the main initiative of Fundación Seur, a project through which plastic caps are collected to facilitate access to medical or orthopaedic treatments, not covered by Social Security for children with serious illnesses.

Dacsa Group is participating in it by setting up collection areas in its work centres to collect bottle tops for this initiative. One more step in our corporate commitment to society and the environment.

Caps for a new life has already helped more than 171 children thanks to the more than 1,200,000 € delivered to finance their medical and orthopaedic treatments.

In addition, at an environmental level, the initiative has managed to recycle 6,542 tonnes of bottle caps, avoiding the emission of 8,198 tonnes of CO2 into the atmosphere, the main gas causing climate change.

With more than 13 million people collaborating with Seur in the collection of bottle tops, this is the largest number of donors in Spain.

Thanks to the collaboration of citizens and businesses, such as Dacsa Group, the recycling of bottle tops helps to improve the life of a child.

At present, caps are being collected for Alba, a 3-year-old girl with cerebral palsy. Thanks to the tons of recycled caps, she is able to carry out her rehabilitation sessions with the world’s first children’s exoskeleton, which allows her to walk upright without using her wheelchair.
