Dacsa Group celebrates its 50th anniversary with a new image
The business group turns 50 at full strength and with growth perspectives that do not stop.
Dacsa Group was founded in 1968 by D. Ricardo Císcar Martínez. What started as a small corn semolina production company for the brewing industry in the Valencian town of Almàssera, has become, 50 years later, a European leader in the production and supply of all types of rice and corn products.
In 2018, Dacsa Group celebrates 50 years, having expanded its business far beyond the grinding of corn. Nowadays, Dacsa Group has three business areas: corn grinding, rice milling and nutritional flours. All these years of experience have made Dacsa Group the European leading producer of corn for the following sectors: breakfast cereals, snacks and brewing industry. It has also become a recognized rice producer in Spain and Portugal.
Dacsa Group currently operates in nine production plants distributed in six different locations throughout Europe, located not only in Spain, but also in Portugal, Poland and the United Kingdom. At its headquarters, located in the Valencian town of Almàssera, it has more than 170 workers, surpassing 500 across the whole continent.
Dacsa Group wanted to celebrate this half century of life by launching its new corporate image. This image has been adapted to reflect modern times but retains its essence; an essence that enabled the company to get to where it is today . The values of commitment, customer orientation, efficiency and integrity are reinforced through a new logo and a new image.
This new image is a modern interpretation of the old symbol, recreating in abstract form the previous logo. What used to be grains of corn have been adapted to suggest the blades of a mill in the form of arrows; arrows that symbolize the progress towards the future, movement and teamwork.
Dacsa Group continues to drive forward with its strategic lines of improvement through the implementation of different programmes, such as the HUMANE programme (focused on Corporate Social Responsibility), the DACSA 4.0 program (commited to the digital revolution) or the PULSE program (focused on talent management). In thiese ways, Dacsa remains committed to its objective of being the partner of choice by providing new added-value solutions to the food industry.
