Dacsa Group and the Second Edition of the Skills Up Programme of the UPV

Dacsa Group participates in the second edition of the Skills Up Programme organized by the Polytechnic University of Valencia. SKills Up is a programme that aims to connect students with the changing labour demands of the real world through training provided by companies. In addition, Skills Up seeks to improve the employability and entrepreneurial skills of the participants, thus promoting the Soft Skills as a driving force to work in any organization and job position.
On behalf of Dacsa, our colleague Manuel Ochoa, Group Origination and Sustainability Manager, was the person in charge of leading the session, under the title “Trends in food production, sustainability and genetic modification”. Manuel talked about food production in the world, the importance of sustainability – especially in agriculture – for companies in the sector and about the history, evolution and situation of genetically modified organisms (GMOs) in the world, as well as their advantages and disadvantages, legislation and market trends.
During the programme, we were able to enjoy a debate in which the students’ persuasive, communication and leadership skills were on display.
At the end of the session, our colleague Justo Aznar, Group Talent Manager, from People Department, gave a first-hand account of the job opportunities at Dacsa and the different training programmes, advising the students to enjoy their future jobs and surround themselves with good professionals.
