Alimentaria&Hostelco 2024 ends with a very positive balance for Dacsa Group

Last week a new edition of the biannual Alimentaria&Hostelco trade fair took place, being the international meeting of the food, hospitality and catering industry.

Dacsa Group attended as an exhibitor and also as speakers at The Alimentaria Hub, the innovation and knowledge space within the fair.

Lorena Lázaro, Group Brand and Communication Manager at Dacsa Group, gave a presentation together with Jorge Herrero, Creative Director of the Kids agency under the title, “Arroz Dacsa: how to excite by selling a basic product“.

In it, Lorena and Jorge explained the key elements of the brand’s strategic change towards a more creative and digital approach.

Once again this year, the event has surpassed its previous record figures, demonstrating the pull of the industry, and its innovation. More than 3,200 exhibiting companies from 68 countries and around 107,900 professionals attended this year’s event.

On this occasion, the programme focused on food innovation, gastronomy and the rise of protein, as well as the latest trends in the hospitality sector.

On behalf of Dacsa Group, we attended with Dacsa Rice, Natur Dacsa and Hi Vegs! With the latter we offered different tastings during the 4 days of the fair.

Alimentaria has, once again, been a great showcase for hundreds of innovations, including functional and healthy foods. In our case, with our latest contributions to plant-based foods.

In addition, the event once again showed its most charitable side with the presence of volunteers from the Fundació Banc dels Aliments, who collected nearly 20,000 kg of food and beverages donated by exhibitors.

The next edition of Alimentaria will be held from 23 to 26 March 2026 and Dacsa will be there to continue to be part of the future of the sector with our products and innovations.
